Ms. Tracey-Jane Cassidy , the founder and senior science instructor has a degree in Natural Science from Trinity College ,University of Dublin and a MSc in Medical Microbiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Ms. Cassidy brings excitement and passion to the learning of Science. The Mother of three children with a disciplined approach and an attitude of positive reinforcement, means every child benefits from their time in science club.
All of our scientists are fully Garda checked, insured and lots of fun!
We are an innovative initiative passionate about bringing a love of science and learning to primary school aged children.
Our inclusive , hands-on approach is unique . We are not a science class, the children make and do their own experiments , wearing their lab coats and goggles, using real scientific equipment including a university grade Van Der Graff Generator.
Our small group of hand-picked scientists ( MSc & pHD ) are Garda cleared and Insured. Most of us are parents ourselves and all have extensive experience caring for children.
All of our sessions are risk assessed and closely supervised. We can run science club in your school for 2 years without repeating a session.
Our Face Book page is regularly updated so you can see everything we do in the schools we run our after-school clubs. We put up simple weekend ‘kitchen’ experiments for children
Some of our Dublin schools are :
Lycee Francais d’Irlande, Foxrock,
Willow Park, Blackrock , Blackrock,
Sharavogue , Glenagery
Mount Anville , Lower Kilmacud Road, Dublin,
Educate Together, Powerstown, Dublin,
Kilternan Church of England National School
St. Brigids girls primary school , Cabinteely
We also have an after-school science club at the Cuala GAA hall, Hyde Road, Dakley on Thursday afternoons 3pm – 4pm for children from any primary school.
Our Science club is always the most popular after-school club in schools ! Please take a look at some of the feedback about the club we have received from schools and parents:
